Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental returns to the Revolution Festival with FLAMINGO/WINNEBAGO, a theatrical road trip of epic proportions. Ageet Predesh, an Indian immigrant who runs a Sinclair gas station in New Jersey, notices the bees are dying and takes off into the American West in a Winnebago RV fitted to run on fryer grease. Along the way he encounters a young man searching for his mysterious past at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. The two men’s journeys converge in a cross-country exploration of the United States and it’s myriad road-side attractions – including the forgotten treasures along historic Route 66, New Mexican pueblos, the Wigwam Motel, RV parks, the Las Vegas Monorail and Korean Karaoke. A funny, funky “Peak Oil parable” (The Gazette) FLAMINGO/WINNEBAGO is multi-media exploration of our country’s kitschy past (Vegas gangsters) and bleak future (peak oil theory and the Earth consumed by gluttonous ruin) and everything in between (car culture, OnStar Navigation and old highway motels and diners), all set to the swinging music of Albuquerque’s favorite Gyspy-Jazz-Rock band, LE CHAT LUNATIQUE.

The Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental is a theater creation team made up of artists from Colorado, Colombia, Iowa, New Mexico, New York and Bulgaria that plays with “rough” media, documentary footage, improvisation and research to create theatrical epics and windows into not-often seen worlds.

Founded in 2005, LE CHAT LUNATIQUE is quickly becoming one of the West’s most sought after bands, blending Gypsy, Western Swing and the “Hot Club of France” Django Reinhardt-style of jazz. In 2007, their first studio album, “Demonic Lovely,” was nominated for seven New Mexico Music Awards, and won “Best Song” for the track “Miss Lady.”

“Watching Thaddeus Phillips at work makes you feel as if you’re on a mind-altering drug  . . . his DNA might hold traces of Charlie Chaplin, Rowan Atkinson and perhaps Einstein.” –The Philadelphia Inquirer
