Live from the Reptilian Lounge, it’s the… Reptilian Lounge! ABQ’s longest running late night cabaret will be happening for three weeks in this years 12th Annual festival. Not only has the Lounge been a part of all twelve festivals, but it was first presented in 1996 as a part of Tricklock’s regular season. Come see ABQ’s wildest and most talented comics, belly-dancers, monologists, musicians, and naked dancers, every Saturday night throughout January. Target Girl will be there. The Paige Sisters will be there. And as always, your studly hosts, Kevin R. Elder and Alex Knight, will make you feel comfortable and rowdy as you cheer for ABQ’s best talent!
Four of New Mexico’s most exciting female poets come together for a night of responses. Join us for this one-night event that kicks off the second week of the festival. The four women poets come from all walks of life, and varying cultural backgrounds. If you want to get your poetry fix with the vibe and excitement of the Revolutions Festival, this is your night!
ABQ has quite the budding Improv scene, and Tricklock is happy to be a part of it during this year’s festival. A few Tricklocker’s got together with a few special guests to create an insanely POWERFUL Improv team. These folks don’t mess around, so make sure you bring an extra pair of pants because you will most definitely laugh your first pair of pants off! Crash is Revolutionary Improv at its very best. This years event will be inspired by the best events happening in the festival. Sure to be hilarious even if it is the only event you go to. However, the more events you see in the festival, the funnier this night is going to be!
Created in 2004 as a platform for Tricklock Company to workshop and develop new plays, the Excavations New Work Series is an intimate opportunity for artists and audience members to collaborate on the creation of original work for the stage. Excavations acknowledges that theatre is a living art form that is a part of the community, and only with the audience’s ideas and participation can a performance grow to its fullest potential. All Excavations projects are new works in various stages of development, and presentations are always followed by refreshments, lively discussion and a Q&A with the audience. During this Revolutions, get a first look at three brand new shows we’re brewing. Your feedback is essential to our process!
